STRESZCZENIE
Termin „podścielanie” dotyczy procedury, która ma na celu poprawę ścisłego kontaktu pomiędzy płytą protezy a powierzchnią podparcia całkowicie lub częściowo bezzębnych wyrostków zębodołowych, poprawę stabilizacji i komfortu uzupełnienia protetycznego. Na końcowy efekt podścielania wpływają, w stopniu większym niż cechy zastosowanego materiału, umiejętności lekarza w zakresie rozpoznawania wad i nieprawidłowości starych protez oraz możliwości ich korekty.

SUMMARY
The term "relining" defines the procedure used to improve the close connection between the denture base and the supporting surfaces of totally- or partially-edentulous ridges; improving the stability and comfort of the prosthetic product. The outcome of a reline is influenced, more than by the characteristics of the materials used, by the ability of the specialist to recognize the shortcomings and inadequacies of the old prosthesis, and his/her ability to correct them in a targeted and effective way.
